Kyle Dingwall Returns to Brockville Speedway Victory Lane After Dominating Performance Saturday Night. Cornwall Speedway Falls to Rain

Over the past four seasons, Kyle Dingwall has struggled to find the on track success that he had been accustomed to throughout his racing career.  Bad Luck and just being at the wrong place at the wrong time had a lot to do with that, and lack of funding also played a contributing role.  2012 is a new year thought, and it has been a good start for Dingwall, as he has shown significant improvement in his racing program with great sponsors, a strong team and a brand new 2012 Bicknell car.

This past weekend, Dingwall had the usual events on his schedule beginning with Brockville Speedway on Saturday night, Cornwall Speedway on Sunday.

At Brockville, Dingwall began the evening by winning his qualifying heat, giving the team confidence going into the 30 lap main event.  Starting from inside the second row in the third position, Dingwall quickly moved into second.  For the first ten laps he pressured the leader waiting patiently for an opportunity to grab the top spot, and made the winning pass before they completed lap 11.  The first and only caution of the race came on lap 15, but Dingwall was able to pull away from the field, collecting his first win of the 2012 season, and first since May 31st, 2008.

“It has been a long time coming”, says Dingwall in victory lane.  “I really have to thank the crew, and everyone that helps us out.  I also want to thank our sponsors that have supported us this season, as well as the race fans”.

Looking to make it two in row, Dingwall planned to race at Cornwall Speedway on Sunday night in conjunction with the World of Outlaw Late Model Series.  A late afternoon rain forced track officials to cancel the night’s events.

This coming weekend, Dingwall will be back at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night, and then off to Cornwall Speedway on Sunday as the Big Block Modifieds make their only visit of the season with the Super DIRTcar Series.  Dingwall currently sits third in points at Brockville, and fourth in points at Cornwall.

Kyle Dingwall would like to thank all of his sponsors for the 2012 racing season.  They include King Edward Auto Parts, McHaffie Flea Market, B&M Mechanical, C Double J Harvesting, Eastern Ontario Millwritting, Black Dog Lubricants, Toy Storage, D.L. Kyle Dingwall Continues Streak of Top Ten Finishes; Looking to Capture First Win of 2012 Season

Although consistency is the key to winning championships, Kyle Dingwall is looking for just a little more out of his 2012 Bicknell.  He has had several solid finishes in row going into the weekend, but he was looking to turn some of them top tens into top fives this weekend with events at Brockville Speedway on Saturday and Cornwall Speedway on Sunday.

At Brockville on Saturday night, Dingwall started his qualifying heat race from fifth place, and advanced just one position to fourth before the checkered flag.  The team made some adjustments to the car before lining up for the 30 lap main event.  In the feature, Kyle started from outside of row five in the tenth position.  By lap ten, he moved into the top five, but as the race progressed, the handling starting to go away, and he fell back to seventh at the finish.

Cornwall Speedway was the next stop on the weekend, and once again Dingwall would have to come from near the back of the pack in the qualifying heat.  He advanced to fifth place by the end of the 10 lap heat.  In the 30 lap main event, Dingwall fired from the tenth position and again made some progress in the opening laps, advancing to seventh, and he maintained that spot through halfway.  At the checkered flag, Dingwall crossed the line in eighth place.

As the summer officially approaches this week, and the point standings begin to take shape, Dingwall currently sits eighth in points at Brockville, just eight points outside the elusive top five.  At Cornwall Speedway, Kyle is in fourth place in track points, and only a few points out of third.  The battle at both tracks will be fierce over the next couple months as the track championships will surely come right down to the final week of the season in the ultra-competitive Modified division at both tracks.

This coming week, Dingwall will be back at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night, and then off to Cornwall Speedway on Sunday as the Modified division shares the stage with the invading World of Outlaw Late Models as they make their return to Cornwall after a one year hiatus.

Kyle Dingwall Gets Top Ten Finishes at Brockville and Cornwall Speedway

Although the finishes aren’t quite what Kyle Dingwall would like, 2012 has certainly been a year of consistency for Dingwall, scoring top ten finishes in every race but one so far this season.  Dingwall, who had a season best second place finish at both Brockville Speedway and Cornwall Speedway just two weeks ago has had been able to run inside the top ten in a very competitive division virtually every night.

Dingwall was at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night, and after a fourth place run in his qualifier, he and the team made some adjustments on the car before the 30 lap main event.  Staring from ninth, Dingwall faded to 12th early, but climbed his way back into the top ten at lap 13.  Over the second half of the race, Dingwall advanced to eighth place, scoring his fifth starting top ten finish to start the season at Brockville.  He is currently seventh in points, only ten points out of the top five.

On Sunday night, Dingwall returned to Cornwall Speedway after last weekend’s rainout.  Dingwall started fourth in his preliminary qualifying heat race, and finished in the same spot.  The team made some adjustments on the car before the 30 lap feature and started from inside of the sixth row in 11th place.  Much like the previous night at Brockville, Dingwall battled handling issues, and ended the night with a ninth place finish.  Dingwall is currently tied for third in track points at Cornwall in a very tight points battle early in the 2012 season.

This coming week, Dingwall will be back at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night and Cornwall Speedway on Sunday.  He will be looking to capture his first win of the 2012 season at both tracks.

Kyle Dingwall Gets Top Ten Finish in Wild Night at Brockville Speedway; Cornwall Speedway Rained Out

After scoring back to back second place finishes last weekend, Kyle Dingwall and the Dingwall Motorsports team were looking forward to getting back to the track this week hoping to pick up their first win of the 2012 season.  Dingwall planned to race at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night and Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday, but Mother Nature would shorten their weekend schedule.

At Brockville Speedway on Saturday night, the track conditions were less then favorable with all the rain from the previous day, but racing went on as scheduled.  Kyle started his qualifying heat race from fifth place, and advanced to fourth before the finish.  After returning to the pit area, Dingwall and his team made some adjustments to the car in preparation for the 30 lap main event.  Starting from 11th place, Dingwall moved his way through the field early, but a series of yellow flags in the first ten laps of the race slowed his momentum early.  Dingwall would go on to finish the race in eighth place.

This coming week, he will be back at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night, looking to improve on his sixth place position in track points, and will return to Cornwall Speedway on Sunday evening where he is currently second in points.
