Although the finishes aren’t
quite what Kyle Dingwall would like, 2012 has certainly been a year of
consistency for Dingwall, scoring top ten finishes in every race but one so far
this season. Dingwall, who had a season
best second place finish at both Brockville Speedway and Cornwall Speedway just
two weeks ago has had been able to run inside the top ten in a very competitive
division virtually every night.
Dingwall was at Brockville
Speedway on Saturday night, and after a fourth place run in his qualifier, he
and the team made some adjustments on the car before the 30 lap main
event. Staring from ninth, Dingwall
faded to 12th early, but climbed his way back into the top ten at
lap 13. Over the second half of the
race, Dingwall advanced to eighth place, scoring his fifth starting top ten
finish to start the season at Brockville.
He is currently seventh in points, only ten points out of the top five.
On Sunday night, Dingwall
returned to Cornwall Speedway after last weekend’s rainout. Dingwall started fourth in his preliminary
qualifying heat race, and finished in the same spot. The team made some adjustments on the car before the 30 lap
feature and started from inside of the sixth row in 11th place. Much like the previous night at Brockville,
Dingwall battled handling issues, and ended the night with a ninth place
finish. Dingwall is currently tied for
third in track points at Cornwall in a very tight points battle early in the
2012 season.
This coming week, Dingwall
will be back at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night and Cornwall Speedway on
Sunday. He will be looking to capture
his first win of the 2012 season at both tracks.
